Etymology: Yaminue, tophonimic name of a Patagonian creek, and Greek, chelys, "turtle."

Etymology: In honor of Dr. Zulma Gasparini, palaeontologist of the Facultad de Ciencias y Museo de La Plata, Argentina.

Locality: Arroyo Yaminue (Yaminue Creek), 40°43’57”S, 67°10’12”W, Rio Negero Province, Patagonia, Argentina.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Allenian Tetrapoda Assemblage, Late Campanian-Early Maastrichtian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, hyoid apparatus, atlas, axis, 6th, 7th, 8th cervical vertebrae, left and right scapular girdle, left and right humeri, right radius and ulna, pelvic girdle, left and right femora, right tibia and fibula, the 2 sacral and 7 caudal vertebrae, carapace and most of the plastron (without the anterior lobe).

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower-Middle Campanian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: MAU-Pv-N-475: A partial preseved carapace (3-11 left peripherals, and 8-11 right peripherals, lateral-distal portion of the left costal bones 1, 4, 5, adn 6, lateral fragments of 7 and 8 costals, lateral-distal portion of right costals 5-8, a suprapygal and pygal, a left xiphiplastral fragment, one 7th cervical vertebra, one anterior caudal vertebra,m and a right femur.

 

Locality: "Puesto La Rinconda" northeastern flank of Auca Mauida Ranges, about 10 km southwest from Rincon de Los Sauces, Neuquen Province, Argentina.

Horizon: Anacleto Formation, Neuquen Subgroup, Neuquen Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower-Middle Campanian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material:

MAU-Pv-PR-455: A partially preserved carapace (lacking the anterior margin, and most of the central and left part of the carpace), a complete plastron, remains of a sacral vertebra, eight articulated caudal vertebrae, and the pelvic girdle.
